  • Built on web standards
  • Great data loading
  • Progressive enhancement
  • Simpler mental model

The Not-So-Good

  • Smaller ecosystem
  • Fewer hosting options
  • Smaller talent pool

When Next.js Wins

  • Enterprise-scale applications
  • Complex state management
  • Need Vercel ecosystem
  • Large team with Next.js experience

When Remix Wins

  • Data-heavy applications
  • Teams new to React
  • Simple to moderate complexity
  • Web standards matter

The Honest Take

For most SaaS MVPs: Next.js.

Ecosystem wins. Hosting wins. Talent wins.

Remix is excellent. Next.js is safer.
